Implement with guidance—and a group progressing with you.

Follow a structured 12-month pathway to put the GSTC Tour Operator Standard into practice, organize your evidence, build team capability and prepare for the independent certification process.

The Cohort supports implementation and Green My Experience readiness. A GSTC-accredited certification body separately conducts the independent audit and makes the certification decision.

Is the Cohort right for your organization?

The Cohort is a strong fit when

  • Your organization works with shore excursions
  • You want a complete guided pathway rather than a starting plan alone
  • Your team benefits from a defined implementation rhythm and deadlines
  • Peer accountability will help keep the work moving
  • You need group evidence checkpoints and 1 individual evidence checkpoint
  • 2 people can participate consistently and coordinate internal action
  • Your organization intends to prepare for independent GSTC certification

Core may fit better when

  • Your team can lead implementation independently
  • You need Platform activation, foundational learning and light shared support
  • You do not yet need structured evidence checkpoints or an included final readiness review

Private may fit better when

  • Your organization needs dedicated workshops
  • You need individualized evidence-review and remediation cycles
  • You need a mock audit
  • Your operating structure or timing requires a private pathway

A complete group-guided implementation pathway.

The SustainAble Cohort brings four parts together for 12 months.

Group guidance

Guidance with a group—not generic content on a calendar.

  • Biweekly group implementation sessions

Work through the structured pathway with expert facilitation and a group moving through the same overall journey.

  • Group office hours

Bring questions that can be addressed within the shared program setting.

  • Peer accountability

Learn alongside other participating operators, see how peers approach implementation and maintain momentum across the year.

  • Group evidence checkpoints

Review evidence expectations and common gaps within the guided group process.

  • 1 individual evidence checkpoint

Receive one defined checkpoint focused on your organization's evidence status.

The Cohort is not private consulting. Organization-specific work beyond the included individual checkpoint, unlimited remediation and private implementation management are not included.

Together, these components help your team move from diagnosis into operating practice and readiness preparation.

Your 12-month journey.

The Cohort follows four connected implementation phases. The detailed session calendar and responsibilities are confirmed before enrollment.

  1. 01

    Establish the foundation

Complete or refresh the SustainAble Baseline, confirm the organization's starting point and activate the implementation workspace.

FocusCurrent practices, documentation status, gaps, priorities, roadmap and internal ownership.

  2. 02

    Put the roadmap into operation

Translate priorities into assigned work, updated practices, team learning and operational measurements.

FocusActions, responsible people, deadlines, procedures, suppliers, data and evidence.

  3. 03

    Strengthen evidence and close gaps

Use group evidence checkpoints, 1 individual evidence checkpoint and implementation guidance to identify what still needs attention.

FocusDocumentation quality, completion gaps, corrective action and consistency between practice and evidence.

  4. 04

Review readiness and prepare the transition

Complete the final Green My Experience readiness review and understand any remaining work before beginning the separate third-party certification process.

FocusCompleted pathway requirements, remaining-gap report when needed, next-step decision and ongoing management.

Keep actions, evidence and progress in one working system.

The Green My Experience Platform helps your organization:

  • Assign work and responsible people
  • Manage priorities and deadlines
  • Organize relevant documentation
  • Connect evidence to implementation work
  • Monitor progress and remaining gaps
Learn about the Platform

Build the capability to apply sustainability in the business.

The Cohort includes Applied Sustainability for Business for 2 people from the participating organization.

The Academy learning supports the practical responsibilities participants take on during implementation. The organization should select people who can participate consistently, coordinate with colleagues and help move internal work forward.

Special pricing is available for additional Green My Experience Academy course licenses.

Establish an initial emissions starting point.

The Cohort includes an initial Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions estimate.

Based on

  • The organization's assessment responses
  • The information the organization supplies
  • The selected year used to establish its starting point

You receive

  • An initial emissions estimate
  • A report explaining the starting point and limitations
  • A roadmap
  • An action plan for improving information and addressing priorities

This is a basic initial estimate for internal understanding and planning. It is not a complete external-reporting-grade greenhouse-gas inventory and is not intended for external reporting.

What the Cohort includes.

Everything in Core

  • SustainAble Baseline or Baseline refresh, during onboarding
  • The Green My Experience Platform and the SustainAble implementation system
  • Roadmap and evidence workspace, for unlimited organizational users
  • Initial Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions estimate for the selected baseline year
  • Initial emissions report, roadmap and action plan, with documented limitations
  • Special pricing for additional Academy course licenses

And what the Cohort adds

  • A structured 12-month implementation pathway
  • Biweekly group implementation sessions
  • Group office hours
  • Peer accountability, milestone framework, templates and resources
  • Group evidence checkpoints
  • 1 individual evidence checkpoint
  • Applied Sustainability for Business for 2 people — the advanced course, in place of the foundational ones
  • Progress summaries that distinguish organizational information from independent certification
  • Final Green My Experience readiness review
  • Remaining-gap report if the organization does not meet the final review requirements

The Cohort does not include

  • Private implementation management throughout the year
  • Unlimited individual consulting
  • Unlimited private evidence remediation
  • A mock audit
  • The independent audit
  • GSTC certification fees
  • A guarantee of certification
  • An external-reporting-grade greenhouse-gas inventory

Apply for the October Cohort

The Baseline is completed—not skipped.

Your organization does not have to purchase the SustainAble Baseline separately before applying. If it has not already been completed, it becomes part of Cohort onboarding. If a refresh is needed, the current starting point is established before implementation proceeds.

Already completed the Baseline?

The amount actually paid for the Baseline can be credited toward the Cohort when:

  • The same organization enters the Cohort within 90 days after completing the Baseline
  • The credit is not combined with another promotion
  • The credit has not been transferred and is applied directly to the Cohort payment

If the Baseline was purchased at a discount, only the amount actually paid is credited. The credit has no cash value.

What your organization contributes.

Green My Experience provides the system, implementation structure, learning and group guidance. Progress also depends on the organization's participation.

Your organization should be ready to

  • Appoint 2 people who can participate and coordinate the work
  • Provide accurate information about current practices and documentation
  • Identify internal owners beyond the 2 program participants when needed
  • Attend the agreed program sessions
  • Complete Academy learning and implementation activities
  • Create, update or organize relevant policies, records and evidence
  • Gather operational information for the initial emissions estimate
  • Act on identified gaps and decisions
  • Communicate internally with leadership and operational teams

Green My Experience does not require formal leadership approval as an application condition. The operator remains responsible for selecting participants with sufficient access and organizational support to implement the work.

Understand the final Green My Experience readiness review.

At the end of the pathway, Green My Experience reviews the organization's completion against its published pathway requirements. The review is designed to:

  • Confirm what has been completed
  • Identify remaining implementation or documentation gaps
  • Help the organization decide whether to begin the separate independent certification process
  • Determine eligibility for the relevant continuation and recognition steps

If the organization does not meet the review requirements, it receives a remaining-gap report. Unlimited private remediation is not included in the Cohort.

This is a Green My Experience internal readiness review. It is not the independent GSTC audit, does not award certification and does not guarantee the certification body's decision.

Green My Experience may open additional capacity operationally, but no additional Cohort will be advertised until its date and delivery capacity are confirmed.

Progress continues beyond the Cohort.

Sustainability in Action

Organizations that meet Green My Experience's published implementation requirements can earn Sustainability in Action. It recognizes implementation progress within the Green My Experience framework and is not independent GSTC certification.

Green My Experience Collective

Eligible organizations that complete the approved pathway, pass the final readiness review, maintain active Platform access and meet the participation rules can enter the Collective with Member Since recognition.

Independent certification

When ready, the organization can separately contract with a GSTC-accredited certification body for the external audit and certification decision.

Stay Ready, from year two

From the second year the organization continues on Core at US$2,500 a year, on the Stay Ready track: surveillance readiness, evidence kept current, year-on-year emissions and reporting for buyers. The price is published from day one, not confirmed later.

Frequently asked questions

01Who is eligible for this intake?

The October intake is open to tour operators working with shore excursions. Green My Experience reviews eligibility, operating scope and whether the group format matches the organization's needs during application review.

No. It is a Green My Experience internal review against published pathway requirements. A GSTC-accredited certification body separately conducts the independent audit and makes the certification decision.

09What if this intake is full?

Qualified operators can register for the January waitlist or discuss SustainAble Private. A place is not confirmed until Green My Experience issues an enrollment offer and the organization completes the required steps.

10What happens after the 12 months?
